I work from home a couple of days a week and the Breeze has ended up doing double duty. At night it's next to our bed, during the day I wheel it into the study so bub can nap nearby while I'm on calls. Lockable wheels make that switch dead simple and it doesn't feel like I'm dragging something bulky through the house.
Quiet enough that I've had video calls with it a metre away and nobody's noticed. Genuinely didn't plan on using it this way when we bought it but it's turned into one of the more useful pieces of furniture we own right now.
I put the Evolve together by myself while my partner rested, took about an hour and a half with the instructions. Fits together well, nothing left over. The bassinet sits at a good height and the lockable wheels mean we move it to the lounge during the day no dramas. Not having to buy a separate cot or toddler bed down the track made it a straightforward decision.
Assembled the Evoke in bassinet mode about a month before our due date so it was ready to go. Glad we did that early because the last few weeks of pregnancy weren't exactly full of energy for flat pack furniture. Bub came home to a room that was fully set up, which took one thing off the list during an already overwhelming week.
Our three year old is fascinated by the Breeze and keeps asking to help "check on the baby". Bit of a novelty having a bassinet in the main bedroom this time round since we didn't do this with our first. Assembly was simple enough that I did it solo while she napped. Feels sturdy enough that I'm not worried about a curious toddler bumping into it either.
Set the Breeze up about three weeks before my due date so I could get used to where everything was in the dark. Good call in hindsight. First night home from hospital I wasn't fumbling around trying to figure out buttons at 2am, already knew it back to front. Made those first few nights less overwhelming than they could have been.
